Managing Director

Mr. Sullivan is a managing director within Oaktree’s U.S. Private Debt strategy, which he joined in 2010, and is primarily responsible for originating, underwriting and executing new investment opportunities.  He sources new opportunities from financial sponsors and intermediaries in Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, St. Louis, and Westport.  In addition, Mr. Sullivan is responsible for monitoring existing portfolio investments until fully realized.  Mr. Sullivan is also a member of Oaktree’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.  Prior to joining Oaktree, Mr. Sullivan spent two years as an analyst/associate at The Sterling Group, L.P., where he was responsible for evaluating and analyzing private equity investment opportunities and assisted in the management of several portfolio companies.  Mr. Sullivan’s prior experiences include two years as an analyst at Harris Williams & Co., where he focused on mergers and acquisitions of middle-market companies.  Mr. Sullivan received a B.S. degree in business administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
