Pedro Sanchez-Mejorada

Mr. Sanchez-Mejorada is a managing director and co-portfolio manager for Oaktree’s Emerging Markets Opportunities and Emerging Markets Debt Total Return strategies, contributing to the portfolio management, transaction sourcing and credit analysis.  He is also a member of Oaktree’s ESG Governance Committee.  Mr. Sanchez-Mejorada joined Oaktree in 2013 from Goldman Sachs where he helped build their emerging markets effort as Head of Latin America Corporate Credit Trading from 2008 to 2013.  Prior thereto, Mr. Sanchez-Mejorada worked at J.P. Morgan from 1999 to 2008, last serving as a Latin American high yield and distressed credits trader.  He began his career at J.P. Morgan performing as a LatAm credit analyst and transitioned to become responsible for LatAm corporate distressed credit research.  Mr. Sanchez-Mejorada holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.S. degree in finance from Boston College.
