Eric Gons

Dr. Gons is a member of the Portfolio Transformation Team and specializes in driving commercial and operational performance improvement initiatives, including turnarounds, collaboratively with management teams. Before joining Oaktree in 2019, he was a Principal at The Boston Consulting Group, driving bottom-line results across a range of industries and topics. Dr. Gons began his career as a U.S. Air Force operations research analyst, focused on strategic and force structure studies in assignments at Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base; a deployment to HQ ISAF in Kabul, Afghanistan; and as a Fellow at the RAND Corporation. He received a Ph.D. in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School and a B.S. in economics from the United States Air Force Academy, where he was a Distinguished Graduate and the 2005 Outstanding Cadet in Economics.
